  1. My dad was on maneuvers at Camp Claiborne in 1941. He was a cook so he was cooking in a field kitchen there. They may have know each other (although he was in a different unit -- 112th Engineers). His name was Earl Deitch.

    1. My dad passed away in January 2014, so I can't ask him if he knew your dad. Where did your dad go after Claiborne?

  2. My father, Solomon "Slim" Nelson stood at that very same signpost for a photo. He was in the 164th Infantry.
